Hi there! I’m Shanae, the Photographer behind the lens capturing your special moments at Shanae Elizabeth photography.
My goal isn’t to just take a photo, It’s to capture those fleeting moments and special personalities within your family. I love working with families to create timeless keepsakes whether we’re in my studio or out in the beautiful landscape for a lifestyle session or cozy in your own home. I strive to create an environment where you feel radiant and relaxed.
A little about my approach

Gentle and baby-led: for my newborn sessions I follow your little ones lead. There is no rush, we move at the pace that keeps your baby calm and comfortable.

A little about me
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll likely find me with my own family exploring our beautiful local lakes and enjoying each other’s company OR running the kids around to their local Sports. My passion for photography came from wanting to capture every special moment in our lives and wanting to do the same for everyone else. As a mum of 3 I know how important it is to invest in capturing the beautiful moments, as they grow way too quickly and you can't go back in time but you can revisit beautiful images that help your memory go back to those special moments.
Photography Sessions - What to expect
Newborn
STUDIO
Designed to be calm, timeless and completely baby-led. They take place in my cozy studio and the sessions are slow and unhurried, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling so parents can truly relax while i take care of the rest. I carefully pose your newborn using safe natural poses, with a mix of beautifully wrapped setups and organic poses that highlight just how small they are. Styling can be simple or more staged depending on your preference. Parents and siblings are welcome to join in our family included packages, with simple backdrops and my beautifully crafted lifestyle settings. These will be gently guided to create natural and connected images. I have a selection of props, outfits and colour themes to make these personal to you.
ON-LOCATION
My on location sessions are perfect for families who want a more relaxed, life-style focused experience in the comfort of their own home or meaningful location. The sessions are gentle, natural and baby led, capturing your family exactly as you are in those first precious weeks. I also offer simple newborn focused wrapped posing and the inclusion of simple props in some packages. There is something to suit everyone.

Every event holds a collection of moments worth remembering-carefully planned details to the spontaneous Joyfield interactions in between.
My event sessions are approached with calm unobtrusive presence, allowing me to document your occasion as it naturally unfolds whether you're celebrating a birthday, hosting a special gathering or making an important milestone. I focus on capturing the genuine emotion connection and atmosphere of your event.
With an eye for both detail and storytelling, I preserve everything from the subtle styling elements to the laughter shared between guest, creating a gallery that feels authentic timeless and true to the experience.
The sessions are designed to be relaxed and seamless so you can stay fully present while knowing every meaningful moment is being thoughtfully captured.
Maternity
STUDIO
Designed to feel elegant, empowering and beautifully timeless. These sessions focus on soft tones, natural textures and flattering light that highlights your bump and the incredible journey your body is on. I gently guide you through relaxed, natural posing to ensure you feel confident and comfortable every step of the way. I have a customer closet to choose a beautifully styled maternity dress, or you can wear your own choice. Partners and children welcome to be included in our family included packages. The images will celebrate motherhood, femineity and this fleeting season before baby arrives.
ON-LOCATION
My on location sessions are relaxed, natural and deeply emotive - perfect for capturing this season of motherhood in a meaningful outdoor setting. These are held at a carefully chosen location such as beach, open fields or bushland. These sessions make the most of soft natural light and beautiful surroundings to create images that feel organic, timeless and full of emotion. I gently guide you into natural, flattering poses while allowing plenty of space for candid moments to unfold. There is no pressure to perform - just easy, calm experience where you can connect with your bump. Partner and family welcome to join in this magical experience with our family included packages. Client wardrobe options included in all packages.

Capture your family's special moments with our on-location family lifestyle sessions. Choose a meaningful environment and let us create stunning photos that portray your family's unique story. A lifestyle session with me are less about ‘perfect’ posing and more about capturing the authentic connection and beautiful chaos of your life. Weather we’re playing in the park, beach or cozy in your home. I aim to document the laughter and the love that makes your family unique. These sessions are relaxed and fun, ensuring that everyone’s personality from the toddlers to the teens truly shines through.
Pets are welcome to join these sessions so we can capture their unique connection and wagging tails as part of your family.
Milestones & Cake Smash
STUDIO
Life is made up of fleeting moments worth celebrating-whether it's a first birthday, a monthly milestone or a special chapter you never want to forget.
My milestone sessions are designed to capture these moments in a timeless and natural way with a calm approach and a focus on genuine expressions. I create imagery that feels soft, heartfelt and true to your family story with playful interactions. These sessions are about preserving the little details that change all too quickly.
For first birthdays and beyond my cake smash sessions offer a joyful and beautifully styled experience. Each session can be thoughtfully themed to suit your vision that keeps the focus on your little one whilst still feeling fun and celebratory. A cake is included allowing for a relaxed and seamless experience from start to finish.
With gentle guidance and comfortable studio environment these sessions are stress free and enjoyable-capturing both the big milestones and the sweet in between moments your treasure forever
Pets
ON- LOCATION
My on location pet sessions are heartfelt, flexible and thoughtfully designed to suit every stage of your pets journey. They take place at a location that is meaningful to you - weather its the local beach, favourite walking spot or even in your own home, allowing your pet to feel relaxed and at ease in a familiar location. Family is welcome to join in on this session for natural connected images that celebrate the bond you share together. I offer gentle guidance while letting moments unfold organically, keeping the experience calm and unforced.
END OF LIFE
These sessions are about honouring your pet and preserving their presence and the life you have shared together - soft details, quiet cuddles and the love you share, without rushing or expectation. Your pets comfort always comes first, every session is approached with sensitivity, patience and understanding giving you time and space to simply be with your pet while i quietly document those moments. These images capture love, loyalty and companionships. I work slowly and intuitively, allowing your pet to rest, move or simply be held. Family members are welcomed to be included naturally to create timeless images that feel warm, honest and respectful. These sessions can be done at a location of your choice, or should it be a last minute call to the vets I can accommodate that too.
